Height when you need it

Left low, it sits a camera at hedgehog height. Extended, it lifts the lens clear of long grass, a feeder tray edge or a lip of decking. The legs click positively into place and stay there; a button on the inside of each leg releases them to collapse.

Angle without the fiddle

Anyone who has spent ten minutes wedging twigs behind a camera to get it pointing slightly down will appreciate the gimbal head. Loosen, tilt, tighten, done. It holds where you put it.

Will it fit my camera?
If your camera has a standard threaded tripod socket — and almost all cameras, trail cameras and compacts do — then yes. It works with sockets on the base or on the back.

Is it strong enough for a trail camera?
Comfortably. It's designed around trail and wildlife cameras, and it also handles lightweight spotting scopes. It's not intended for a heavy DSLR with a long lens.

Can I leave it outside?
It's fine outdoors for the duration of a deployment. For long-term permanent installations we'd suggest a wall or post mount instead.
