The data stamp is the feature

Date and time are standard. Temperature and moon phase are not, and they are what let you start seeing patterns rather than incidents. Movement clusters around certain conditions; a stamped archive shows you which ones, and after a season you know when to be there.

A screen saves you a season

Without a screen, every setup is a guess you validate a fortnight later. With one, you point the camera, look at the LCD, see that you've framed the ground rather than the trail, and fix it in ten seconds. It's the difference between one good deployment and three wasted ones.

Frequently asked questions

Why only a 32GB card limit?
It's a constraint of this model's hardware. In practice 32GB holds thousands of stills, so it only becomes a factor if you record a lot of video. If you want a bigger card, the Tracker takes up to 128GB.

Does it connect to a phone?
No — this is a card-only camera by design, which is why it is simple to run and easy on batteries. You review on the built-in screen or on a computer.

Is the moon phase stamp actually useful?
More than most people expect. Animal movement correlates with light and weather; once you have a season of stamped captures you can see which conditions produce activity on your ground rather than guessing from general advice.

What's the difference between IP65 and IP66?
IP65 is protected against low-pressure water jets from any direction; IP66 handles powerful jets. Both are dust-tight and both are comfortably beyond what British weather does to a camera strapped to a tree.
